Chapter 1 Purpose

 

Article 1: The Taiwan Psychological Society commends Professor Su Xiangyu for his achievements in establishing the Taiwan Psychological Society, and praises Professor Su for promoting psychology

The ambition of education will initiate the establishment of the "Professor Su Xiangyu Psychology Dissertation Award Fund" on the occasion of Professor Su's 80th birthday, and set up a committee to manage it.

 

Chapter 2 Organization

 

Article 2: The Fund Management Committee shall have five to seven members, who shall be elected by the joint meeting of directors and supervisors of the Association.

Article 3: The Fund Management Committee shall have one chairman, who shall be presumed by the Board of Directors and Supervisors of the Association.

Article 4: The term of office of the members and chairman of the Fund Management Committee is two years.

Article 5: The Fund Management Committee may, depending on the actual needs, employ a number of thesis review committee members to be responsible for reviewing the thesis.

​

Article 6: The chairman, members and thesis review members of the Fund Management Committee are all unpaid.

 

Chapter 3 Sources and Custody of Funds

 

Article 7: This fund is donated by members of the Taiwan Psychological Society and people from all walks of life who are enthusiastic about promoting psychology.

Article 8: The fund is tentatively set at NT$1 million, and the management committee may solicit and expand it at any time according to actual needs.

 

Article 9: The fund will be kept by the Taiwan Psychological Society by opening a special deposit account, and its fruits will be used as thesis bonus. When the fund yields insufficient, the fund can be used as a dissertation bonus.

 

Chapter 4 Application and distribution of bonuses

 

Article 10: In principle, this fund will set up one to three doctoral dissertation awards and two to five master degree dissertation awards, and several outstanding pieces in principle each year. The Foundation must notify the psychology-related research institutes of domestic universities and colleges by letter before the end of April every year, recommending one to three pieces of doctoral and master’s thesis completed within one year before the application deadline for review.

Article 11: The above-mentioned doctoral dissertation award will be awarded NT$20,000 in principle, the master's dissertation award will be awarded NT$10,000 in principle, and the outstanding piece will be awarded a certification.

 

Article 12: Applicants for this award should submit three copies of their thesis, and the director of the institute should fill in one copy of the recommendation form (such as the attachment) and submit an application to the Fund Management Committee.

 

Article 13: The award winners who have been approved by the Fund Management Committee and approved to be awarded the bonus will be publicly awarded and praised at the annual psychology conference every year.

 

Article 14: The Articles of Association may be amended by discussion and resolution at the joint meeting of directors and supervisors of the Association.
